Accessible Building

The building and classroom must allow clear and safe passage for students who travel by wheelchair, scooter, crutches, etc. Responsibilities are as follows:

Instructor

• Make sure entrances, exits, or travel routes in and around the classroom are clear.
• Report any access problems or barriers to the student, DRO, Building Liaison and the ADA Coordinator.
• Contact the University Fire Marshal, if you would like to discuss evacuation procedures and planning.

Student

• Register during priority registration and, when possible, select course locations with access in mind.
• Contact the instructor, DRO, Building Liaison and the ADA Coordinator, if there are any access problems/barriers.
• Contact the University Fire Marshal, if you would like to discuss evacuation procedures and planning.

DRO

• Review options to relocate class meeting.
• Refer concerns and problems to the ADA Coordinator for investigation and other possible solutions.
