Software

  • Otter -Cloud-based recording with automatic transcription and AI-generated summary notes. ( Mobile, PC, Cloud-based) – Reduced rate for Education (Discount rate for students, free 600-minute access per month trial with an email account)
  • JamWorks – Records lectures and produces  AI-generated summary notes and math note-taking support. (Free trial for 14 days,
  • Notability is a notetaking app for IOS devices that allows you to write or type your notes while recording.
  • OneNote is Microsoft’s free note-taking tool, available with a student’s Office 365 account.
  • Mic Note is a free recording app for Windows, Mac, Chrome, and Linux
  • Genio is a cloud-based notetaking app that includes importing slide decks and recording. Free trial available.
  • Google Notebook LM This free, AI-powered tool helps you organize and refine your ideas by analyzing documents and providing summaries, explanations, and suggestions. It is designed to enhance your interaction with notes and documents.

Pen & Paper Note-taking Tools

  • LivPen Smart Pen—These tools allow you to write on paper and record while writing. You can tap on the special Livescribe paper to hear your recording, or tap on the writing transferred to your phone to listen to what was being spoken while writing.
  • Inq Smartpen– A Digital pen that transfers what you write on the Inq notebook paper to either the app on your phone or access via the web. It records both audio and what you write, allowing you to review and search your notes.
