About Me

My name is Sydney, and I will be starting school this August at NC State. I am an 18-year-old female wheelchair user due to a physical disability that I was born with, but I do not let my disability get in the way of my independence or my life. I try to be as independent as possible, but I need help as described below.
Job Requirements

• Background Check • CPR Certificate • Female • Ability to transfer from wheelchair to chairs, beds, etc.
  o I can stand and walk short distances with help • Assistance with Personal Hygiene (Bathing, Dressing, Restroom, etc) • Cleaning/Laundry • Overnight Care
  Schedule
  I am looking for 5-6 people to make scheduling flexible. Also, extra people will ensure in
  case an emergency happens, there will be somebody else who might be available. It is
  absolutely necessary that someone is always available during the times given below.
  The major portion of this job is the night shift which will be from 8pm to 9am, and you would
  be sleeping in an overnight PCA room connected to my room. (This might change as I
  adjust to living by myself, but at the beginning, this is the expectation).
  Payment
• Funds obtained through CAP/C Enrollment Program • Payment obtained from GTI by logging hours through the GTI app • Exact payment numbers will be discussed during the initial interview
  Approximate Schedule (Will adjust as needed over the semester)
• Sunday-Thursday – Overnight shift from 8:00 pm-9:00 am the next day. • Friday and Saturday – I plan to go home on the weekends for the most part so I
  probably won’t need someone at night • Monday-Friday – A one hour shift sometime at midday (will have a better time once I
  have my class schedule) for restroom help.
